Music Recital and Bake Sale - Thursday 7.30am

To celebrate the end of a very musical year at DBS Wakra, we will be holding a Music Recital and Bake Sale on Thursday 18th May. There will be performances from both choirs and some individual performances. Come along and support your music department!

There are still positions available for instrumental lessons for Term 3. This is a great opportunity for your child to have a go at learning something new and exciting! Instrumental Program Term 3- Sign up today!

Letters have gone out in an email to all parents from Year 1 - Year 6 about the instrumental program for Term 3. You can also collect a letter from Sharon at the front desk. Instrumental Program - Last week to secure a place!

The deadline for responses for involvement in the Instrumental Program is THURSDAY 12th JANUARY. All payments must be made by the end of January.
An email will be sent out to all parents who have signed their children up to the program with specific details about the lessons.

Instrumental Program starting Term 2

A letter has been sent home today with information about an exciting, new instrumental program for DBS Wakra. The instruments on offer are Keyboard, Piano, and Acoustic Guitar and lessons will begin in Term 2. If you would like your child to learn one of these instruments, please complete and return the form that was emailed to you to secure a place in the program.

Using our Listening Ears

KS1 have started a new unit on listening to classical music. Students listen to the music and explain how that piece of music makes them feel. In this picture, year 1D was listening to a piece called 'The Royal March of the Lion' by composer Camille Saint-Saens.
